ATLANTA — The Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Association (HCEA) announced its officers and directors at the 2009 HCEA Annual Meeting, June 13–16, in Tampa.  Nancy Hoppe, CME/H, Associate Director, Global Congress and Convention Management, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, was inducted as President.

Other 2009–2010 HCEA officers are: President Elect — Karen Kingston, CME/H, CMP, Exhibits & Meetings Manager, B. Braun Medical, Inc.; Vice President — Peggy Furman, Associate Director, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp; Treasurer — Riki Metzger-Ford, Associate Director, Conventions & Exhibits, Merck & Company, Inc.; Secretary — Susan Huff, Director, Global Conventions, Medtronic, Inc.; and Immediate Past President — Karen Prieto, Director, Convention Marketing & Meeting Services, Forest Laboratories, Inc.

The association’s 2009-2010 directors are:
