ATLANTA – Carol Wilson, Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Association (HCEA) Director of Meetings, was presented with HCEA’s Distinguished Service Award during the 2005 HCEA Annual Meeting, June 4–7 in New Orleans.

The award, HCEA’s highest form of recognition, was given to Wilson to recognize her nearly 20 years of service in the healthcare convention marketing industry and her dedication to HCEA. Feehan Wilson became a part of HCEA in 1986 when the Kellen Company assumed management of the association.

Wilson has been an employee of the Kellen Company for 32 years, retiring June 30. While she has worn many hats in helping to make HCEA a successful organization, her commitment to planning and organizing 20 years of Annual Meetings has been a major contribution to HCEA’s success.

HCEA established the Distinguished Service Award to recognize individuals who have made a major contribution to the association and/or the healthcare convention and exhibition industry throughout the years. The award is not necessarily presented every year, but only when HCEA’s Nominating Committee and Board of Directors determines that there is an eligible candidate.

HCEA is the only association solely dedicated to improving the effectiveness of all conventions, meetings and exhibitions for the healthcare industry. HCEA represents nearly 700 member organizations involved in healthcare exhibitions and conventions.
